It's not unheard of to have a spring snowstorm around Easter here in Albuquerque. There has been more than one egg hunt called off on account of snow! The forecast indicates a little moisture coming in soon, and we'll also have a dip in temperatures by the weekend. Anything can happen.
But even if we get a little dusting, or even a wet dump of the white stuff, it goes away within a day. Even sooner. It just comes and goes like a celebrity cameo in honor of the occasion. I love the impromptu visit.
This was last year's show looking like fallen cherry blossoms beneath the trees.
But beauty sometimes comes at a price. Some years we get no fruit at all.
Either way, it's a last hurrah. Winter is packing up her trunks and moving on for a few seasons. Bon voyage, and good journey. . . . We're even having a good send off for you!
Inside or out.
Wishing you a lovely Easter.
Jacqueline

I love your little birdie sign and the quilt. It reminds me of a green and cream one we have, but it is a little different. So strange to see snow in time for Easter. We haven't had any accumulation where I live, but we did have a few days earlier this week where it snowed almost all day. It's nice to see the sunny(ier) skies now.
ReplyDeleteA lovely tablescape and your photos are great too!

Soooo warm, so lovely. Makes me happy inside! I'm now seriously considering white creamy dishes for my table. I do love Queens Plain by Wedgewood, but am loving your Queensware embossed plates as well. That touch of detail adds soooo much. Love the quilt,it looks rich! You do it right girl!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter! Pamela
Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love your tablescape. Love the vintage quilt as a tablecloth.
I keep my dining room table decorated all year around. I am forever changing it with the seasons and holidays. I love to use my vintage silver, china, napkin rings and linens.
Will visit again soon.
Happy Easter,
Elizabeth
What an amazing photo-the cherry blossoms covered with snow!
ReplyDeleteJacqueline,
ReplyDeleteLove the soft subtle hues of your quilt combined with your pink roses! Ever so softly it whispers Spring!
I am quite intriqued with the terra cotta pots holding napkin and eggs...clever idea for gifting!!!
Have a Blessed and Glorious Easter, dear friend!!!
Fondly,

March did end "like a lion", didn't it? But I think we are now going to leave that all behind and enjoy the beauty of spring.. finally! Lovely touches on your table for Easter. The tablecloth (quilt) reminded me of the one I saw in the antique mall. Frugal me decided against buying it but having seen yours, I just might make a call to see if they could send it! Lovely green and pinks in that one! And I love the paper roses as an added touch to the place setting... darling!
ReplyDeleteLovely easter table!
ReplyDeleteHappy easter to you!
Ciao

Jacqueline, I pinned the pic of your mismatched curtains that you posted in today's email blog, and got a repin on it immediately afterwards. I thot you would like to know. As always, your blogging is beautiful.
ReplyDeletePS: I would like to make some of my cards using some of your photos, and give them to you. Need your OK on this. There are no strings attached, it is just my way of showing how much I appreciate your blog work. It is my bliss to do this.
