It's May! It's May! The lusty month of May, as Guenevere would sing in the musical Camelot... I'm off to buy flowers since that is what I am reduced to. Not a lot of bloom in the garden just now... But I am sharing a few snowballs from our own bush, and some new Forever stamps from the US Post Office to celebrate the day.
Commemorative stamps.
These vintage seed packet images are my favorite! There are eight different stamps.
Aren't they cheery?
I hope your day is too!
Happy May Day!!
Jacqueline

Hugs,

I bought those beautiful (first) flower stamps the last time I was in the Post Office.
My fondest memory of May Day was when I was 5. My Grandparents were moving into a new home and when we arrived someone had left a may day basket of flowers tied to the door knob. I thought how special and I can remember my Grandmother telling me the history behind May Day!
Happy May Day!! Beautiful stamps!
Cynthia

Steve and I were just looking at a snowball bush at a nursery this morning! We had one when we lived there in alb and loved it!! Love those stamps, too. Thanks for letting us know about them. And your last post about romancing the laundry---so, so peaceful and serene and beautiful!! Loved it!!

Jacqueline,
Amazing Seed Packet postage stamps!!!
I have Pen Pals that I correspond regularly with and the choice of postage stamps has a lot to be desired, but these are going to be splendid, indeed!!!
Have a wonderful weekend ahead, dear friend!
Fondly,
Pat
How wonderful that your Hydrangea is already in bloom, Jacqueline. And thank you so much for sharing those stamps! I'll be on my way to the Post Office this week to try to snag some. (The seed packet ones are so lovely.) I think May is my favorite month. I was thinking about that this morning as I rambled along and saw all the beautiful flowering shrubs, trees and spring flowers. Wishing you a happy May.... 'that lovely month when everyone goes blissfully astray!' :)
