Valentine Fever

I'm fishing out the Valentine supplies today! I've never gotten over the ol' cut and paste urge from school days. When was the last time You made a Valentine Mailbox?

I've already seen some pretty gorgeous treats and decorating floating around blog land. Makes me want to get in on the act too! How about you?

A few more pics posted over on the Archive blog here.

A sweet week to you!

Jacqueline

I remember making Valentine collection envelopes in grade school out of brown paper grocery bags and also white paper formed into a large envelope. I think I still have one of the latter tucked away. And I still have a few old Valentines too. I like the pink rose in the last photo though I'm not sure what it is. Hugs, Pamela

I haven't made valentines in quite a while. The last time I remember making them was in college. Just a simple heart cut out of computer paper with some simple doodles in pink and purple. I wrote a little greeting for everyone on my dorm hall and taped them to the girls' doors.

To my surprise, they all loved these little hearts with many girls keeping them up on the door until they moved out at the end of the year. Amazing how something so simple can make someone's day.

I still like Valentine's Day to celebrate all thinks pink since that's one of my favorite colors!

Love is in the air ~ how pretty!
We have a beautiful display of vintage Valentine cards at the shop right now and it has been fun listening to people remember making mailboxes in school out of lunch bags and decorating them!
