Shabby Valentine

A few shabby blue vintage rhinestones, and some torn strips of cotton fabric remind me of the Queen of shabby romance herself, our friend Rachel Ashwell.

A bit of pretty paper and stamps camouflage an ordinary shoe box to make an old fashioned Valentine Box. Don't you love the old traditions? My lacy container may not end up full of handmade hearts, but can serve  instead as a sweet presentation for the sweets themselves for someone special.

Still so much fun to make! A gift of hearts from the heart . . .

So nice that you stopped by!
 Have a sweet week!

This box is so sweet! You know,Rachel decorated boxes with fabric and ribbon and sold them in her shops(when she had shops in Newport Beach and Malibu). I bought one an wished I'd bought more. They didn't have the detail yours does.

That is soo beautiful Jacqueline!... I love your little special Valentines box... I always loved those as a little girl too and I especially love traditions... I am going to try to make one now... I hope I can find a vintage brooch in my stash that is as beautiful as your blue rhinestone key... xoxo Julie Marie

Very sweet photos. I love the soft aqua teacup and the lace heart covered Valentine box. The turquoise rhinestone key is adorable. Blessings, Pamela

Subtle and sweet Jacqueline. The turquoise bling is just right too.
